Always add an excerpt to your blog posts. They’re important because they “promote” your post. Use them to evoke curiosity and a desire to read the post. I like to keep excerpts roughly the same length. Try to limit your excerpt copy to approximately three lines of text like I’ve done here.

Hope is the foundation of great leaders, but in this time of Covid-19, ‘hope’ feels harder to grasp. It’s less tangible, more elusive. When you think of hope, you most likely think of making wishes or crossing your fingers. The ‘I hope I get a new pair of slippers for Christmas’ kind of hope. But there’s another kind of hope, called active hope. This is the kind of hope that moves us forward. This kind of hope can be learned and taught to others.
